The fee split
Every launch writes pump.fun’s fee-sharing config for the coin with two shareholders: the coin’s payout wallet () and Appdrop’s platform wallet (). The config’s admin is revoked in the same transaction, so neither the launcher nor Appdrop can change the split. pump.fun’s collect instruction is permissionless and pays each shareholder its basis points of what accrued.
The payout wallet is a Privy server wallet created for that coin alone. Its address is in the coin’s metadata file under appdrop.rewards.distributor, together with the coin’s app (line), the weighting rule and the ledger URL.
Tagging app buys
The indexer reads every transaction that touched the coin’s bonding curve or, after graduation, its PumpSwap pool, and decodes pump’s trade events. A buy is tagged with an app when its transaction carries that app’s mark:
- pump
- The transaction invokes the pump.fun app’s program
6Vo3245eszAb5wuqEMw8mGdbfRUdKbHhDHP5LcaGuTAB, at the top level or in an inner instruction. - fomo
- FOMO’s relayer
AgmLJBMDCqWynYnQiPCuj9ewsNNsBJXyzoUhD9LJzN51is one of the transaction’s signers.
The credited wallet is the signer, other than the relayer, whose balance of the coin rose most in that transaction, read from its pre and post token balances. A failed transaction is never tagged. Tags are set when a trade is indexed and never edited. If an app changes its program or relayer, the new one is added and announced; trades already indexed keep their tag.
Weighing shares
For each wallet the server keeps an earning balance e and a weight w. Replaying the coin’s trades in time order between two samples:
- Between events,
w += e × seconds. - A tagged buy credited to the wallet, in the coin’s app:
e += tokens bought. - After every event:
e = min(e, balance).
Each sample is reconciled with an authoritative holder read. A wallet holding less than the replay says (tokens left by transfer) has e capped at what it holds and the window’s weight scaled down to match. Tokens that arrived by transfer never raise e. A wallet that holds nothing at a sample loses its weight to the others. The bonding curve, pools, program-owned accounts, the platform wallets, the payout wallet and burn addresses are excluded. A coin’s first sample replays from its launch, so app buys made before it count.
Payout rounds
A round runs when the payout wallet holds at least the minimum pot above its reserve and the minimum interval has passed. The pot is split by weight, floor(pot × w / total), and paid weights reset to zero. Shares under the dust threshold, or too small to open an empty account, are deferred with their weight kept.
A round is written to the database in one transaction before anything is sent. Each batch is signed, its signature stored, then sent; after a crash a stored signature that confirmed is done and one whose blockhash expired is sent again, so nothing is paid twice. The payout wallet pays its own network fees.
Every round, with its payouts and the credited app buys behind it, is public at /proof?rounds=<mint>.
Paired-token coins
A coin paired with a token other than SOL accrues its creator fees in that token, in the payout wallet’s token account, and pays app buyers in it with transferChecked (SPL Token or Token-2022, read from the mint). Thresholds are in US dollars at the market’s price of the token, falling back to whole tokens when no price is known.
The launch adds a SOL seed to the payout wallet, paid by the launcher, for network fees and for opening holders’ token accounts. A holder without an account for the token gets one opened only when their share is worth the new-account minimum and the seed covers the rent; otherwise the share is deferred.

Keys and custody
Appdrop’s server holds no private keys. Launchers sign with their own wallets. Each payout wallet and the platform wallet are Privy server wallets: the server asks Privy to sign each payout or burn, and Privy holds the keys. Who earns in a round is decided by the server from public chain data under the rules above, and every input is published, so anyone can recompute a round.
